Product description

LUWO is an educational system for computer science and digital literacy designed for elementary and middle schools. It is neither a simulation tool nor a coding platform, but rather a complete curriculum: a program for the school year, lesson plans, teacher resources, student assignments, and tools for tracking progress—all in one product. The system addresses a specific problem faced by schools—the lack of qualified computer science teachers. In the markets where LUWO operates, there is a shortage of specialists in every school, and the subject is either not taught at all or is reduced to working with office software. LUWO removes this limitation: a teacher without specialized training can conduct a lesson. They receive a ready-made lesson plan, an explanation of the material, assignments with automatic grading, and insight into which students in the class struggled and exactly where they fell short. The methodological foundation is a spiral curriculum combined with microlearning. Each topic is revisited at the next level with increased complexity, and within each lesson, the material is broken down into short, meaningful blocks with immediate practice. The progression follows the logic of Question → Reasoning → Algorithm → Solution: the student first learns to formulate the problem, then to reason about it, then to construct a sequence of steps, and only then arrives at the solution. This sequence fosters transferable thinking rather than rote memorization of syntax. For the school, the results are measurable. The system tracks each student’s progress, and the administration can view the overall picture by class and grade level without having to manually compile reports. For the principal, this provides an opportunity to demonstrate mastery of a subject that would otherwise be difficult to assess and to show parents concrete results. For the Ministry of Education, it offers a way to roll out a unified teaching standard across a large number of schools at once without the need for prior training of thousands of teachers. Today, LUWO operates in 3 countries, in over 40 schools, serving more than 14,000 students. The company is registered in the U.S. (Delaware C-Corp) with operating entities in Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan.

Security

  • Data Storage All student data is stored in a centralized PostgreSQL 17 database hosted in a data center in Frankfurt, Germany (EU). The applications are hosted in the same location. Student data remains within the European data environment and does not leave the EU infrastructure.
  • Backup & Recovery The database supports Point-in-Time Recovery (PITR), enabling data restoration to a specific point in time. Production and staging environments are fully isolated from each other.
  • Data Minimization & Privacy Students’ personal data is not shared with external services. The error-monitoring system operates with PII disabled and session recording prohibited. No emails are sent directly to students, and student identifiers are not transmitted to internal support channels. These restrictions are enforced at the code level rather than solely through internal policies.
  • Analytics LUWO uses first-party analytics running on its own infrastructure, with read-only access. The product contains no third-party analytics or advertising trackers.
  • AI Services The platform does not send requests to external Large Language Models (LLMs). Student data is not used to train external or third-party AI models.

Integrations

  • LUWO operates as a standalone system and does not require integration with a school’s external services. All data is processed within LUWO’s own infrastructure, using a centralized PostgreSQL database and first-party analytics, with no third-party analytics or advertising trackers.
  • Third-party AI services are not used. The product does not send requests to external Large Language Models (LLMs).
  • Integrations with school information systems and electronic gradebooks can be implemented upon request and are discussed with the school during the demonstration and implementation planning stage.
